George Sand (1804-1876) spent most of her life in her home in Nohant-Vic. As well as her passion or writing, she was an extremely keen gardener. You can well imagine this creative woman finding her inspiration in the greenery of her garden. As she did so many times, you can walk around the rose garden, the cedar garden, the scents garden. The "Good Lady of Nohant" is omnipresent everywhere on this estate. She lies here now, in the private cemetery of the family, not far from the two big cedar trees symbolising the birth of her children.
